The thirteenth Karmapa was born in Nyen Chawatrong in southern Tibet in accordance with the prediction and was recognized by Tai Situpa Chokyi at the age of four and enthroned by Goshir Gyaltsap Rinpoche.

Received the full transmission and teachings of the Kagyu Lineage from Tai Situpa and other masters from Nyingma and Kagyu Lineages.

Fulfilled the prophecy from the Guru Rinpoche that only Karmapa could stop the rising floodwaters threatened the famous Jokhang Temple.

Dudul Dorje,Tai Situpa, and Kathok Rigdzin Tsewang Norbu recognized the Shamarpa's reincarnation.

The thirteenth Karmapa passed into parinirvana and left a detailed prediction letter and instruction on his next incarnation.
